Check the raw vocals, its on KZbin, Ashanti is merely doing backing vocals and she got credited for that. You must be deaf not hearing its all Jlo on the verses and mostly on the chorus since her speaking voice is so similar to her singing voice.

Ja Rule deserves so many awards for all the great music he blessed us with in the early ‘00s, all of his songs are timeless hits. You couldn’t turn the radio on back then without hearing a song from him. He used to be the man. Until this very day, I felt like they should’ve gave my girl Ashanti her credit for her background vocals.

This is such a boring take. JLO's vocals are all over the song. Ashanti does CREDITED background vocals and wrote the song. It was common to do back then (Listen to Toni Braxton - He Wasn't Man Enough's chorus...it's Brandy singing background). NEXT!

Maybe you should check the raw vocals version which is here on youtube then and you will hear its all Jlo on verses and Jlo is lead vocals in chorus, while Ashanti is on backing vocals which she got credited for.

@@olissabryant202 jennifer lopez didn't steal anything from anyone, she paid and credited the background singers and everyone who worked with her. jennifer lopez hasn't ghost singers, she sings her own songs. her voice is present from beginning to end in all her songs, the backup singers accompany her only in some choirs as in any song by any singer. jennifer lopez has no rivalry with anyone, most articles are manipulated by the press that lies about her to earn money.
